What people find when they Google you - and what AI says about you
Before the meeting, someone searches your name. Increasingly they also ask ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity. Whatever those surfaces return becomes the opening frame of the relationship.
The lookup is the first meeting
Buyers, candidates, and partners look founders up on Google, Instagram, and YouTube. They skim what you publish and what other people publish about you. If those sources disagree - different job titles, fuzzy company names, no clear city or category - trust drops before you speak.
AI assistants summarise the public web and the patterns in it. They are not magic, and this is not an argument for a separate "LLM optimisation" product line. If your own content and public description are clear, models have something true to repeat. If you are vague, they improvise.
Consistency beats cleverness
Use one spelling of your name. State one role. Name the company the same way everywhere. Be clear about the city when it matters - Eksplode, for example, is Dubai-based with audiences beyond the UAE. Attach proof you can defend: portfolio facts such as 50+ brands, 10,000+ videos, 1.5B+ views, 1M+ followers, or named client results where you have them.
Inconsistency is how both Google snippets and AI answers drift into fiction. You do not need keyword stuffing. You need a stable public story.
Your content is the evidence layer
A personal brand agency's job is the content and the brand - positioning, scripts, directed production, identity-led editing, posting, analytics - stated clearly enough that a stranger (or a model) can describe you without guessing. Eksplode exists for that operating work, not for pitching meta "AI search packages".
Short-form makes you discoverable. Long-form makes you understandable. Together they give search engines and assistants primary material that came from you, not from a random directory blurb written in 2019.
What to fix first if the search results are weak
Align bio lines across Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and your site. Publish work that shows what you actually do. Remove outdated claims. Add case-level proof where you have permission - Mike Thurston, Rachel Godfrey, Joss Mooney, Dylan Ferguson, Dr Adeel Khan, Matiss Ansviesulis - without inventing numbers you do not have.
Then keep shipping on a cadence you can sustain. A clean description with no content still leaves a thin impression. Content without a clean description confuses every surface that tries to summarise you.
- Same name, role, company, and category everywhere
- Proof next to claims - or drop the claim
- Owned content as the source of truth
- No substitute for being clear in human language first
Questions
Why does it matter what ChatGPT or Perplexity says about a founder?
- Because buyers increasingly ask those tools before a call. The answer is assembled from public signals. If your content and descriptions are clear, the summary tends to be usable. If you are inconsistent, the summary becomes a blur - or worse, a confident wrong story.
How do I improve what Google shows when someone searches my name?
- Publish a clear, consistent description of who you are and reinforce it with real content on surfaces you control. Fix conflicting titles and outdated pages. You cannot control every third-party mention, but you can stop being the source of the confusion.
Is this the same as SEO or AI optimisation services?
- No. The practical work is building a coherent personal brand and the content that expresses it. That naturally improves what humans and AI systems find. It is not a separate trick layer of "LLM optimisation" bolted onto a vague public identity.
What should be true in every public bio a founder uses?
- Name, role, company, what you help with, and where you are based when location matters. Add proof only when it is real. If those five elements drift across platforms, both people and AI tools will hesitate - and hesitation is expensive.
