Flagship playbook

The founder personal brand playbook

A personal brand is not a posting habit. It is an operating system that turns founder expertise into a visible asset while the company keeps running. This is the system Eksplode runs - and the standard we use to decide if the work is actually working.

Who this playbook is for

This is for established founders and CEOs whose offer already sells. Roughly $1M+ revenue is the practical floor we underwrite. You want an operator, not a course. You think in years, not in a 30-day follower sprint.

It is not for people hunting overnight virality, the cheapest Dubai clip package, or a videographer who disappears after the shoot. If that is the brief, this playbook will frustrate you - correctly.

Positioning before content

Positioning answers who the content is for and what you want to be known for. Without it, production just scales confusion. With it, every script has a job: attract the right room, repel the wrong one, and make your judgment visible.

This is the step founders skip when they hire a shooter first. Skipping it is how you end up with views and empty DMs.

Strategy, ideas, and scripts

Strategy sets the platform mix and the roles inside it. Instagram and YouTube are the core. TikTok and crossposting show up where they earn their keep. Short-form is discovery. Long-form is trust.

Ideas and scripts come before the shoot. You approve what you will say. That protects founder time on set and keeps the batch from becoming improvisation dressed up as authenticity.

Production, editing, posting

Filming is batched around your calendar. One well-run shoot day can feed a month of short-form when the scripts and shot list are ready. You leave. Editing and publishing continue.

Short-Form Engine ships 30 short-form videos per month at AED 25,000 with the full operating system attached. YouTube Engine ships 4 YouTube videos per month at AED 35,000. Complete Engine runs both at AED 55,000. Custom engagements go beyond that.

Analytics as the next brief

Analytics are not a vanity PDF. They change what you film next: which angles retain attention, which topics bring the right inbound, which pieces should become long-form, which should die quietly.

We track so the system compounds. Volume without reading the numbers is just expensive noise.

What “working” means

Working means consistent output on-position, recognition from the people you actually want, better inbound quality, and real pipeline conversations - not a spike that impresses strangers.

Operationally, working also means delivery. Targets are set in week one. Three-month minimum. If agreed targets are not met by day 90, work continues at no extra charge until they are. Followers can lag. The system should not.

Proof that the model is not theoretical

Named trajectories matter more than slogans. Mike Thurston went from 0 to 581.9K followers. Rachel Godfrey from 34K to 201K. Joss Mooney from 22.3K to 93.2K. Dylan Ferguson from 0 to 10.4K YouTube subscribers. Across the portfolio: 50+ brands, 10k+ videos, 1.5B+ views, 1M+ followers.

Those numbers are context, not a promise that your graph will clone theirs. Your offer, market, and consistency still decide the slope. The playbook decides whether you have a machine or a hobby.

Questions

What is a founder personal brand operating system?

It is the full loop: positioning, strategy, ideas and scripts, production, editing, posting, and analytics. The founder shows up to film and approve. An operator runs the rest. That is how Eksplode runs every package - not as random clips, but as a monthly system.

Do founders need both short-form and long-form content?

Most do. Short-form discovers new people. Long-form builds trust with the ones who stick. Instagram and YouTube cover that split cleanly. Packages map to it: Short-Form Engine focuses on short-form volume, YouTube Engine on long-form, and Complete Engine runs both.

How much founder time does a personal brand system take?

Less than running it yourself. Scripts are approved before the shoot. Filming is batched around your calendar. Editing and publishing happen after you leave. The design goal is maximum output from minimum founder time - not weekly chaos.

How do I know if my personal brand is working?

Look for consistent on-position output, the right people recognising you, stronger inbound, and real conversations in the pipeline. Followers lag. Views alone prove distribution, not demand. Operationally, also watch whether agreed targets from week one are moving by day 90.
